Choosing the ingredients according to the fish
Apart from the flour, you have to make specific choices for the ingredients of your homemade fishing bait. Some of the most common ingredients are hemp, cheese, Belgian coconut, biscuit, and many others. Some will even add vanilla flavouring for added appeal.
Some ingredients will work for specific fish, but not for others. Peanut butter is an example of this. You can use it to attract large fish, but it will not appeal to smaller fish.
Deciding on the conditions of use of the bait
You should design your fishing lure with the conditions you will use in mind. In particular, the size of the grains of the meal should be decided according to this. It is not such a good idea to use it in conditions where the fish are already flocking.
It is much better to use it when you know that marine life will be wary and scarce. Thus, this solution is best used when you notice that there is almost no activity in the water. The aim is to attract small fish first, then attract the larger fish later. As soon as they are out, you can start to do some good fishing.
